CONTINUING STUDENT - Dutchess County Youth Board and Coordinating Council Scholarship

CONTINUING STUDENTS – This scholarship, provided by the Youth Board and Coordinating Council, is awarded to a full-time DCC student who has made contributions to community service through active volunteerism. An essay illustrating how the student has either 1) overcome difficult circumstances or hardships to be successful in school and/or life or 2) demonstrated outstanding contributions through community service is required. The applicants must have a GPA of 2.8 or better, must be 25 years of age or younger, and must have been a Dutchess County resident while attending a Dutchess County high school or Carmel High School; have been home schooled; or have obtained a General Equivalency Diploma in Dutchess County. One professional letter of recommendation written by a high school teacher, guidance counselor or another professional source, such as an employer, is required; a letter from a friend or family member will not be considered.
